This function has been added to LinkedIn just recently and some of you might not have it yet.
In your Analytics dashboard on a private profile, you have a section called Post impressions (here is an URL).
Choose data for the last 365 days. And here it comes:
I see that Sergej’s posts have reached 206 860 unique members. This number was never there, and just like that for the first time I can count that:
- My typical follower saw my post about 6x times during the last year.
- During that period, I have published 223 posts (I got that from Kleo). So, typically, you have seen 1 of my 37 posts.
- On the other hand, during that time, I had about 23 000 followers, so I managed to deliver my content to more than 180 000 non-followers.
Now let us view the same data for the last 28 days:
Since during this period of time, I had about 26 500 followers, this is feedback that my content was not exactly viral.
Of course, not all of my followers are among the Members reached.
If you would like to deepen your understanding of who exactly is interested in you, I would recommend getting to know Buyer Intent function of Sales Navigator Advanced.
But let us focus on free of charge data for now. You can even get this kind of feedback regarding an individual post that you have published. Just click on the black number of impressions under the individual post of yours:
And that is a key feedback that you have needed: impressions of your posts are not from as many individual users as you have probably thought.
Many users have seen your post on the feed more than once!
