The one LinkedIn premium you need and 10 whys: Sales Navigator

1) It will allow you to use search filters without blocks (that is also true about LinkedIn Premium Carrer, Business, and Recruiter).

2) It will allow you to see who exactly has seen your profile in the last 365 days. Well, most of them, in our experience, about 1 – 4% of visitors’ privacy settings don’t allow that anyhow. (that is also true about any LinkedIn Premium accept LinkedIn Learning).

3) You can see who of your target group has changed jobs in the last 90 days. That’s great; new people tend to make new decisions and choose new suppliers. If, for some reason (for example, recruitment), you need to filter out rather “old” employees, it’s also possible.

4) You can filter those of your target group who have published something during the last 30 days. This way, you know what topics are being communicated by both your target group and competitors.

Now elementary yet powerful filters:

5) Company headcount – you can choose the company size of your counterparts.

6) Seniority level – include or exclude people according to their seniority in the company.

7) Function – you can include or exclude people in the search result according to their function in the company.

8) You can include or exclude from search result people you messaged with or whose profile you have already viewed. Careful, though; this works only with Sales Navigators’ own inbox, not LinkedIn one.

9) You can make your own private lists with prechosen individuals and take notes about them.

10) You can save whole filters and see the changes in results that happen in the search results over time.

Those are our favorite functions of Sales Navigator Core, and this is what they all have in common: they spare your time and make your work on LinkedIn more efficient. For approximately 80 EUR (the cost varies according to several conditions).

The biggest effect is delivered by using a combination of filters. For example, here you can see relevant machinery engineering directors based in Poland that are from German-based companies and seem to have good English skills:

Actually, those of you who want to do real LinkedIn magic need Sales Navigator Advanced and perhaps even its team license and CRM integration, but let us not make this article too long.

Perhaps some other time. We need to also cover topics like InMails (they are quite tricky) and inboxes (if you quit paying for Sales Navigator, you might lose the history of your messages in it).
